Kindergarten Programs *
Studies show that children benefit from high quality, full-day Kindergarten programs. The Simi Valley Unified School District offers families throughout the district two full-day Kindergarten options, depending on your child’s age.
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and traditional Kindergarten classes are all-day classes taught by credentialed teachers with experience in early-childhood education in a safe and nurturing environment on elementary school campuses located throughout the district. All of our Kindergarten programs are free, as are student meals (breakfast and lunch).
TK programs are not part of the School of Choice program. Enrollment and student placement into schools for our TK programs are handled through the District Office.
Kindergarten programs are available at all of our elementary schools and our independent study school (Monte Vista School). Most schools offer School of Choice options for Kindergarten, and enrollment into your neighborhood school is always available.
