Dear Families,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an especially memorable month of May for our school. Just a week ago, we experienced an unexpected evacuation due to a nearby fire, followed by several additional days off as evacuations continued and our campus was thoroughly cleaned. I am deeply grateful to our District for ensuring that our classrooms were fully ready for student occupancy by providing comprehensive indoor and outdoor cleaning, including air scrubbing, filter inspections, and surface cleaning in all classrooms.
What stood out most during this emergency was the calm, focused response from our staff, students, and families. It was a powerful reminder that the safety drills we practice year after year truly matter. In moments like these, preparation makes all the difference. Thank you for your trust and faith in our school and for the unwavering support you show when it matters most. We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a strong, caring community.
With those missed days behind us, we have rescheduled our activities, which means we have a busy—and fun—nine days ahead. All awards assemblies will be held at 8:15 a.m. As soon as we return on Tuesday, May 26th, we will jump right into our end-of-year celebrations with the First Grade Awards Assembly. Fifth grade students will also complete the California Science Test that day. Wednesday, May 27th brings the Kindergarten Awards Assembly and our schoolwide Wolf Den Colors Day, so students are encouraged to wear their Wolf Den colors with pride. On Thursday, May 28th, we will celebrate our TK students at their Awards Assembly, and our fifth graders will head off to the pool for their field trip. Friday, May 29th brings us the Second Grade Awards Assembly, which will wrap up just in time to kick off the much-anticipated Day of Awesomeness! Thank you to our PTA, families, and students for your incredible fundraising efforts. I am grateful in advance to our staff, volunteers, and once again our PTA for the hard work it takes to make this amazing day possible.
Then the last week of school is upon us! On Monday, June 1st, we will host the Third Grade Awards Assembly. Also, our first graders have been working so hard to prepare for their play and they will finally get to showcase it Monday at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2nd brings the Fourth Grade Awards Assembly and the fifth grade field trip to Universal Studios. And—can you believe it?—on Wednesday, June 3rd, we will celebrate our Fifth Grade Culmination Ceremony.
Somehow, in the midst of all of this excitement, there will still be meaningful teaching and learning happening in our classrooms! The last day of school is Friday, June 5th, with dismissal at 12:00 noon. Don’t be late—because that’s a wrap for the 2025–2026 school year!
Thank you for everything. It’s been a ride!
