Drop-off and Pick-Up Procedures

Parking Lot Map

Arrival

Students can arrive on campus as early as 7:35 a.m. After students enter the school gates they will be directed to the breakfast area or out to play until the warning bell rings at 7:55 a.m. and they go to class. On Fridays, all students line up around the quad with their teachers for the morning flag salute at 8:00 a.m.

Drop-Off

Parents can drop-off students at the curb in the parking lot or on Fletcher along the kindergarten playground. In order to keep the traffic flowing, parents should not exit their vehicle. Please make sure your child is ready to go with everything they need before you pull up to the curb.

For Families Walking to School

Please use the Front Office gate. Parents will not be able to escort their students past the school gates. Please model safe behavior for your child by using the crosswalks.

Dismissal

The school day ends at 2:09 p.m. Students who are walking home will be released through the Front Office gate. Parents of students in TK and Kindergarten will need to park their cars and walk to the Kindergarten gate to pick-up their child. Please hold a sign with your student(s) name(s) and teacher(s) name(s). Do not park in the drop-off pick-up zone in front of the Kindergarten playground.

Pick-Up

For students in grades 1 through 6, parents can pick-up students at drop-off/pick-up zones at the curb in the parking lot or on Fletcher along the Kindergarten playground or at the Loveday Street gate. Please let your student know which pick-up zone you plan to use.

Traffic Flow

When dropping off or picking up your child/children, please pull as far forward in the parking lot as possible to allow other cars to come in behind you.  Do not park your car along the curb as this blocks others from pulling through.  Do not stop in front of the Kindergarten rooms – pull all the way forward.  Please be mindful of your speed while pulling through and do not talk on your cell phone as this could put students, parents and staff in danger.
